Introduction :

Facilitation (wrongly known as Training) is more about communicating and relating than explaining facts. It is as much about empathy, patience, and respect as it is technical know-how. One needs to look for the 'human' skills first. They take a special gift. The facilitator creates the conducive environment around and makes the things simple and then learning happens.

The program focuses on 3Ds – Design, Development & Delivery in facilitation.

It demonstrates and reinforces practical, proven, leading-edge techniques and strategies that both new and experienced facilitators can begin to use immediately.

Learning Objectives: At the end of the course the participants shall be able to…

  • Define & identify training and learning premises & stakeholders
  • Use adult learning* principles
  • *[An adult can never learn. Only a child can learn. And hence the facilitator’s key contribution is to transform an adult to a child. These principles helps in this transformation.]
  • Define and adapt effective learning & teaching styles
  • Become aware about the personality preferences
  • Implement audience engagement strategies
  • Combine the available media effectively
  • Determine & manage training logistics & class management
  • Assist as a co-faculty to the master faculty

  • The techniques learnt in this workshop are useful in any type of the facilitation program.

Core Methodology:

  • Personal coaching: The participant shall be guided by Dhananjay Gokhale himself (in person) similar to a private coaching(unlike class environment).
  • Case based approach: A case of 2 to 2.5 hours facilitation is selected. The participant is requested to identify a topic with a target date resting 20 to 22 days from the start.
  • Regular preparations and mocks: The personal coaching interventions are planned for 4 to 5 days in a week for 45 minutes. The participant is guided through all the nuances of Design, Development and Delivery of the learning intervention.
